Mr. Upendra Giri conducted a powerful session with some of the leading top level executives in the country at the CXO Roundtable at the PMI Congress, Hyderabad on 15th November, 2009. The session on Project Management - Key Driver to 'Run', 'Grow' & 'Transform' an Organization featured Mr. N Krishnan, Managing Director, Software Technology Park of India, Mr. Sri Kumar, Former DGP, Karnataka State Police Department and Mr. Himadri Banerji, Former CEO, Reliance Energy. 

This power packed session addressed the issues and skepticism on the parts of the CXOs and the senior management when it comes to investing in Project Management. Organizations, for more than a decade have struggled to deliver projects on time and within budget. But with the emphasis today on getting more out of every investment, the Executives need to rein in projects more closely than ever before. But eetting up of a Project Management practices requires a change in the overall organization’s culture and quite often is met with the natural resistance to change. The session will explored on how this change can be brought about in organizations.

As a moderator, Mr. Giri was instrumental in creating an invigorating session by taking live questions from the audience which highlighted national issues and the implementation of project management like National security, Energy Crisis, Government policies for IT companies etc. The speakers on the hot seat emphasized on how project management is the only tool for India to achieve its development goals.
