The Jamia Engineering Alumni Association (JEAA) organized JEAA Conclave 2010 to celebrate 25 Years of Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Astrowix was the Knowledge Partner at the event which was organized on 24th and 25th December, 2010 at Hotel Ashoka, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi and Dr. M A Ansari Auditorium, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi respectively. 
The conclave was based on the theme “Youth Entrepreneurship”.  The 2 day event brought together the nation’s industry veterans, top government officials and some of the most able minds of the country to address the challenges and opportunities to leverage the youth into becoming entrepreneurs. The program was vital in paving a new path for the youth and helping India understand the potential of the youth in the country. The event also saw the official launch of the Microsoft Live@edu portal, by the honorable Chief Minister of Delhi, Sheila Dixit. Microsoft Live@edu, the platinum sponsor of the event, have launched the portal to ensure collaboration, quality content and improve capability on the Microsoft Technology of the student community in India.   The event witnessed key personalities from both the government and private sector in India. Mr. Upendra Giri, Founder and CEO, AstroWix Corporation moderated the session on Leading The Future with Cloud Computing: Emerging Opportunities with panelists like Mr. Pradeep Gupta, Chairman Cyber Media and President:  TiE,  New Delhi, Mr. Tarun Malik, Director- Product Marketing & Strategy, Microsoft India, Mr. Sri Kumar, IPS (Retd), Vigilance Commissioner of India and Mr. Naresh Gupta, Managing Director, Adobe India
The sessions in the event included topics from technology and cloud computing to social entrepreneurship. The speakers included some of the most eminent personals from the related field and some of the most prominent alumnus from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Jamia Millia Islamia. The event was successful not only in bringing together the alumni members but also discuss how India can excel with entrepreneurs who leverage technology to bring about social changes. The event will also host many entertaining programs for the family of the alumni members.

The Jamia Engineering Alumni Association (JEAA) is a registered body comprising of former students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. It aims to foster scientific spirit and engineering advancement in the society in general and the students in particular. The Vice Chancellor, being the patron provides guidance and support for its activities. The Alumni who are at senior positions in the private sector and the government frequently interact with the current students to enhance their understanding and improve their employability.
About Jamia Millia Islamia
Jamia Millia Islamia, an institution originally established at Aligarh in United Provinces, India in 1920 became a Central University by an act of the Indian Parliament in 1988. In Urdu language, Jamia means ‘University’, and Millia means ‘National’. The Faculty of Engineering and Technology was established in 1985 with the departments of Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering departments. It has added the departments of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Department of Applied Science and Humanities (1996) and has five engineering departments— Applied Sciences    & Humanities, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics& Communications, Mechanical Engineering—and a University Polytechnic.
